Sussex Sharks were 11 balls away from losing to winless Essex after being reduced to 23-3 chasing 178 in a rain-reduced 17 over-a-side fixture. However, the heavens opened once again to force an abandonment and save the Sharks. It was by far their worst performance of the season and they can’t afford to replicate that showing here against a very underrated Glamorgan team.

The fixture scheduled is erratic when it comes to the Blast and this match is an example of that. Glamorgan have benefitted from a day off on Friday whilst Sussex played a shortened contest Friday night and will make the journey to Wales on Saturday morning for an evening start. This puts the visitors at a big disadvantage and makes backing Glamorgan a move well worth making.
