THE PREDICTION

Union Berlin clearly used the extended winter break to good effect, kicking off their restarted Bundesliga campaign with an impressive victory against Hoffenheim and they’ll be looking to back this up against a shell-shocked Werder Bremen. The hosts were thrashed 7-1 at Koln and when you take into account just how poor they were, particularly at the back then it bodes well for Union. Of course, Werder will surely show significant improvement here, especially with them being at home. However, this Union Berlin side look set for the long haul when it comes to challenging at the top of the Bundesliga and backing them to come out on top in Bremen has to be favoured.
