THE PREDICTION

For the first time in nine weeks, Sheffield United avoided defeat in the Premier League, drawing 1-1 with Brighton in their last game out. It is most certainly a step in the right direction for Chris Wilder’s boys, but their game against Everton will prove difficult to maintain the momentum, with their opponents enjoying an excellent run of form as of late. Wins over Chelsea, Leicester and Arsenal have seen Everton creep back into the top four spots and they are marginally favoured to extend this good run of form in the league. The only real concern is potential fatigue following their League Cup loss to Man Utd in midweek where Carlo Ancelotti fielded virtually a full-strength side. There is unlikely to be much dividing the two teams and while the visitors are favoured, expect very few goals in this one so consider under 2.5 goals.
