THE PREDICTION

Deportivo Cali have it all to do if they are to progress to the quarter-finals of the Copa Sudamericana after they lost the first leg against Velez Sarsfield by two goals to nil. The Columbian side come into this second leg on the back of a five-match winless streak and it is difficult to envisage them being good enough to cause what would be a huge upset by overturning the two-goal deficit. The Argentine side lost for the first time in eight matches against Gimnasia La Plata at the weekend but that will not deter them and they will look to frustrate the hosts. Having conceded just two goals in their last four, Velez Sarsfield will be confident of their defensive capabilities and they are likely to keep it tight at the back to ensure this contest features no more than two goals.
