This feels like ‘last chance saloon’ for Essex in terms of their prospects in this year’s T20 Blast. With four losses in a row to their name already, another home defeat here would more than likely finish off any slim hopes the Eagles have of a revival that could see them make a winning run down the line which gets them into the top four.
Glamorgan have the power to overwhelm Essex as we saw at Sophia Gardens, but if ever there was a game for the hosts to get back on track, it’s this one.
