England vs Italy prediction

There’s no doubt about it, England have been far from at their best during this tournament so far. They’ve won twice and lost once but without Jacob Bethell’s runs, Harry Brook’s man could’ve found themselves in further trouble. But they remain in a promising position to reach the next round and a win over Italy should see them make it.

The Italians are coming off the back of the biggest win in their cricketing history, getting the better of Nepal by ten wickets after a brilliant run chase of 124 was completed by opening partners Justin and Anthony Mosca. Those two backed up the bowlers’ hard work, Crishan Kalugamage taking three wickets being a highlight especially.

But England are a different kettle of fish and their bowlers should give Italy a far tougher test with the ball. In excellent form currently is the ever-dependable Adil Rashid with five wickets across his last two games. It would be no surprise if he were in amongst it again with England outclassing their associate opposition.

England vs Italy tip: England to win and Adil Rashid to take 2+ wickets
