What Oval Invincibles will be hoping to continue from last year’s Hundred competition is their excellent results at home, which should lay the foundations down for a successful tournament from their point of view. All four group games Sam Billings’ side played at the Kia Oval ended in victory for them and they’ll fancy their chances of a strong start against London Spirit, last year’s recipients of the wooden spoon. Morgan will reunite with former England World Cup winning coach Trevor Bayliss for the tournament, who replaces Shane Warne as London Spirit’s head coach following his tragic death earlier this year. With the likes of Hampshire overseas duo Ben McDermott and Nathan Ellis within their ranks, fresh from their starring roles for the Hawks on T20 Blast Finals Day, the visitors should prove more than competitive. However, Oval Invincibles look a more settled outfit with plenty of their players familiar with the pitch and dimensions of the Kia Oval. The expectation is that Billings and his team will shine at home once again in 2022 so back the Invincibles to come out on top here.
