AUCKLAND ACES

• Auckland Aces were comfortably beaten by Wellington Firebirds in their last game, making it back-to-back losses and three defeats in their last four which has seen their attempts to climb the ladder fall by the wayside.
• The Aces were restricted to just 121/9 and showed very little resistance in defending that score with the Firebirds able to coast to an eight-wicket success with 35 balls to spare in what proved to be an extremely one-sided encounter.

• Central Stags’ poor run of form continued as they suffered a fifth consecutive loss in the Super Smash and with just three wins from their nine games so far, their campaign will draw to a conclusion at the end of this game.
• The Stags will hope to bow out on a high note but having lost out by 19 runs in their latest contest with Northern Brave and it will be a tough task to turn their form around against an Auckland Aces outfit that need to win.
