• Sydney Sixers made it four straight wins in the Big Bash League as their strong start to the competition continued with them sitting at the top of the ladder with six victories and just one defeat at the halfway point.
• They were given a scare by Brisbane Heat in their latest encounter despite bowling their opponents for just 105 and they needed a run off the final ball of the match to claim a two-wicket success.

MELBOURNE RENEGADES

• Melbourne Renegades have now lost their last five games after they were on the end of another heavy loss, this time against Hobart Hurricanes as they went down to an 85-run defeat.
• They struggled with both bat and ball as they allowed the Hurricanes to post 206 runs before they were skittled for just 121 in reply and huge improvements are needed across the board if they are to be competitive in this clash.

THE PREDICTION

This clash between top of the ladder Sydney Sixers and bottom side Melbourne Renegades looks like it could be a one-sided affair. The Renegades have lost their last five games with a win in their opening contest their only success to date this season. They will be on a real low having lost their last two in poor fashion and that spells trouble against a Sixers team with six wins from their seven matches. The Sydney outfit have won four-in-a-row and having also won the past four matchups between the two teams, it is hard to see beyond another win for the Sixers with poor weather the only thing likely to prevent them from doing so.
