Brighton preview: Entertaining Seagulls
In the opening month of the campaign, Brighton and Hove Albion confirmed their qualification for the league phase of the UEFA Europa Conference League with a 4-0 aggregate defeat of Tromso amid an entertaining start to the Premier League season.
Brighton began by hammering Aston Villa by four goals to nil at the AMEX Stadium, with all four goals being scored in the first half, before then succumbing to a 4-3 defeat to Chelsea in a thriller at Stamford Bridge.
Leeds preview: Solid Leeds
Having eased to survival in their first season back in the top-flight last year, Leeds United are expected to kick on again this time around with a strong summer transfer window seemingly leaving Daniel Farke’s side in a strong position.
Leeds began the season with a 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest before defeating Forest again at the City Ground in the second round of the EFL Cup ahead of snatching a late equaliser to share a 1-1 draw with Brentford at Elland Road.

Brighton vs Leeds prediction
One criticism that has been levelled at Fabian Hurzeler from Brighton supporters would be their profligacy in front of goal, especially when at home in games that they have largely dominated. They have been efficient this season but it would be no surprise for them to again dominate the ball here but the stubborn and awkward opponents of Leeds continue to frustrate them – and perhaps even siding with the visitors may well be good value given how few games that they have lost since switching to a back three in December last season.
Brighton vs Leeds tip: Double chance – Leeds to win or draw
