Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka prediction

Bangladesh were not potent enough with the ball in their shortened semi-final against Pakistan with the latter eventually coming out on top by six wickets. It was a disappointing outcome for the Tigers, who had batted well but ultimately couldn’t keep Pakistan from moving the scoreboard along at a rapid rate. That sets up this bronze medal match, a fixture in which is only the second across the entire tournament to be played by either of those two nations, with rain having played havoc with the schedule.

Sri Lanka sent out a weakened squad to the Asian Games and paid a very price against India in their semi-final. They looked undercooked and completely outmatched as Shreyas Iyer’s side thrashed them by 124 runs, bowling out Sri Lanka for just 45 chasing a whopping 170 runs for victory. It’s hard to ignore just how bad Sri Lanka looked in that game and whilst India are in a class of their own, Bangladesh are still well worth backing to land a double blow by taking the bronze medal at Sri Lanka’s expense.
