Australia and India’s first T20i encounter of this series failed to get off the ground following rain after India had accumulated 97 for the loss of just one wicket in 9.4 overs. The Aussies will need to bowl better up front to avoid India accumulating a large score in the first innings should the tourists be batting first, with Nathan Ellis in particular being hit hard.

But as we highlighted in our preview of the first game, India’s trump card comes in the form of Jasprit Bumrah. The superstar fast bowler is a menace in T20i cricket with his searing pace, mixed in with those wicked variations. He’ll have a big role to play once he gets the chance with the ball in his hand and taking him down in a stadium of the MCG’s size will be a tall order for the Australian batters. With that in mind, back Bumrah to record over 1.5 match wickets once again.
