Whilst Afghanistan were beaten by five wickets in their opening game, South Africa were comfortable winners over Canada as expected, sending them top of the Group D table on net-run-rate. Their ability to smash runs at a very fast pace makes them a very impressive unit when it comes to T20 cricket and that was on show.

Afghanistan will be hoping that their spin-bowling attack can nullify the Proteas but Ahmedabad is normally a flat pitch and suits batting which plays into the favour of this deep South African line-up. They should be able to get on top of Afghanistan, even if they were to lose wickets in the process and it’s hard to see Rashid Khan’s side matching their score.
