It was a closely fought contest between these two nations on Thursday as Afghanistan set Bangladesh a competitive 152 to win after winning the toss and batting first. The Tigers eventually got home despite losing six wickets along the way, with Rashid Khan taking four of them for Afghanistan. Unfortunately for Rashid, he lacked support from his fellow bowlers aside from Noor Ahmad.
Despite losing, there was enough in that performance to think that Afghanistan can mount a comeback. Bangladesh did not look insurmountable and a batter going on to make a significant score of over 50 runs in the second match could be decisive as this was something we did not see from Afghanistan last time out.
