Zizou Bergs vs Taylor Fritz prediction

Zizou Bergs reached the final of the Libema Open last year, but he suffered a first-round loss this time around as he was defeated by James McCabe in three sets. That was the Belgian’s fifth defeat in his last six matches, and his form has dipped significantly since his appearance in the final of a Challenger event in Aix-en-Provence. Bergs has failed to reach an ATP quarter-final in 2026, with 15 losses from 28 matches overall.

He takes on Taylor Fritz in the first-round of the Halle Open. The American was seeking a second straight title at the Stuttgart Open last week, but he was beaten by compatriot Ben Shelton in the final. Nevertheless, this was still a strong start to Fritz’s grass court campaign. He decided to compete at this event for the first time since 2019.

Fritz should be able to dominate on serve on this quick surface, and he will be viewed as a clear favourite to win this match.
