An unlikely duo will face-off for the Libema Open title when Gabriel Diallo and Zizou Bergs lock horns on Sunday.
The Canadian has been magnificent on the grass this week, following a win over Karen Khachanov by dismissing an in-form Ugo Humbert 6-3 7-6.
In contrast, Bergs has scrapped his way through the tournament, living dangerously at times before producing his best showing so far with a 6-1 6-4 defeat of lucky loser Reilly Opelka.
This will be their second meeting on tour and first on grass with Diallo winning 6-1 6-2 in Madrid this year.
They also clashed in a Challenger in Vancouver three years ago with the Canadian again coming out on top.
Diallo’s game is perfect for grass and he has shown his real potential this week, which bodes well for a solid run at Wimbledon.
Bergs may feel like his name is on the trophy given his tough road to the final, but we are tipping Diallo’s combination of power and movement to make him a different proposition to Opelka and give him the edge over the Belgian.
