Yuliia Starodubtseva vs Elena Rybakina prediction
Yuliia Starodubtseva put in an extremely impressive performance to hammer Anna Blinkova 6-3, 6-1 in the first round the other day. Starodubtseva has only ever made it past the first round of a Grand Slam on three previous occasions but she has enjoyed some impressive showings in this clay season, notably reaching the final of the Charleston Open last month.
Elena Rybakina is the current world number two and the Kazakh is seeking to hunt down Aryna Sabalenka at some stage this year. Rybakina won her second Grand Slam title earlier this year when she defeated Sabalenka in the final of the Australian Open, having finished last year by winning the WTA Finals, again having beaten Sabalenka. She has since gone on to lose the Indian Wells final to the Belarusian but won on clay in Stuttgart last month.
Rybakina was emphatic in her win the other day against Veronika Erjavec, and while Starodubtseva put in a good showing against Blinkova, this is a step up for the Ukrainian.
