Yuliia Starodubtseva reached her first WTA Tour final earlier this year, beaten by Jessica Pegula in the final of the WTA 500 Charleston Open. That coincides with her achieving her joint best performances at both the Australian Open and the French Open earlier this year.
Anna Blinkova has drifted a fair bit in the rankings. The Russian comes into this one on the back of failing to qualify for the Bad Homburg Open last week after being knocked out in the first round of the Nottingham Open and at Queen’s.
It has been an underwhelming grass court season for Blinkova and siding with Starodubtseva would be the way to go for this one on Court 5 on Tuesday.
