Yulia Putintseva secured her place in the main draw after beating Ashlyn Krueger in the final qualifying round. The Kazakh was in control, winning 6-3 6-3. Her most impressive result of the season was right at the start of the year at the Australian Open, as she advanced to the round-of-16 for the first time in her career. However, ever since progressing to the last eight at the Iasi Open during the summer, her results have been largely disappointing.

She will face Zeynep Sonmez in the first-round. Sonmez also qualified after victories over Anastasia Zakharova and Sinja Kraus. The Turk entered the top 50 of the rankings earlier this season, but she has failed to win back-to-back matches since the Eastbourne Open. She has advanced to three tour-level quarter-finals in 2026.
