Yulia Putintseva vs Elsa Jacquemot prediction

Yulia Putintseva came from a set and a break down to defeat Beatriz Haddad Maia and advance to the second-round in Melbourne. Haddad Maia took the first set and broke to go 3-2 up in the second, but Putintseva broke back immediately and went on to level the match. She found herself in trouble yet again in the decider, going 3-1 down, but she won the last five games to win 3-6 7-5 6-3.

She faces Elsa Jacquemot next. She pulled off an upset by defeating Marta Kostyuk in three sets. Kostyuk was in form heading into the event, having beaten a host of top 10 players on her way to the final in Brisbane, and she took the first set here and served for the match in the second. However, Jacquemot fought back, saving a match point to win 6-7 (4) 7-6 (4) 7-6 (7) after three hours and 31 minutes. 

This has the makings of a tight match, with both players fancying their chances of getting through to the third-round.
