Yulia Putintseva hasn’t enjoyed the best grass court campaign so far in 2025, winning just one of her three games on the surface since the French Open. Anisimova on the other hand, is enjoying a very impressive 2025. She won her first WTA 1000 title in Qatar and reached the semi-finals in Charleston, beating Putintseva along the way. Finishing runner-up at Queen’s Club reminded everyone as to her qualities on the court and Anisimova’s aggressive backhand, along with her power on the baseline should serve her well at Wimbledon.
When taking into account the respective form of both these two players currently, the expectation is that former Wimbledon quarter-finalist Anisimova will get the better of a struggling Putintseva in this match.
