Interim head coach Eamon O’Carroll simply must find a way to lead St. Helens to victory despite the plethora of absentees through injury. They are in severe danger of missing out on making the playoffs and having most recent been comfortably beaten by rivals Wigan Warriors, the Saints just cannot get anything going right now.
York Knights though, are in a funk of their own, losing consecutive games and conceding 54 points in the process. The last of those defeats was extremely damaging, as rock bottom Huddersfield Giants got the better of them. This shows that despite St. Helens having so many players unavailable, they are taking on sub-par opposition and won’t have a better chance than this of bouncing straight back. In a must-win scenario, back O’Carroll to find a way for the visitors to triumph.
