York Knights vs Leigh Leopards prediction

Since their brilliant start to campaign which saw them defeat both Hull clubs within the opening three rounds of Super League fixtures, York Knights have since lost their last four league games, only winning in the Challenge Cup, which they’ve since been knocked out of at the hands of Hull KR in the quarter-finals. It’s also been a bad period for Leigh Leopards, who sit second-bottom of the table with only two wins from seven league matches. They are yet to win on the road and are coming off the back of consecutive defeats by Warrington Wolves in both league and cup.

When taking into account the poor form of both these two teams, it ramps up the importance of this encounter, which could affect the game from an entertainment perspective. Five of Leigh Leopards’ last six matches in all competitions have seen under 42 points scored and it would be no surprise to see that trend continue here when considering the lack of quality seen recently among both sets of players.

York Knights vs Leigh Leopards tip: Under 42.5 total points
