Yannick Hanfmann vs Vit Kopriva prediction
Yannick Hanfmann safely booked his place in the next round of the tournament after a straight sets win over Ivan Ivanov. The 17-year-old Bulgarian, who won the junior titles at Wimbledon and the US Open this year, was making his ATP Tour debut but Hanfmann was always in control as he held serve throughout, winning 6-4 6-2.
He goes up against Vit Kopriva next, as he sprung something of an upset by beating Reilly Opelka. The Czech was very secure on his own serve, winning 85% of his first serve points, while he also fashioned eight break point opportunities, converting three of them to win 6-4 6-3 after one hour and 17 minutes.
Both players are coming into this on the back of encouraging displays in the first-round. Kopriva will take confidence from his win but Hanfmann does have the far better indoor record this season, with nine wins from 11 matches including qualifiers, and should start as the favourite.
