German Yannick Hanfmann pulled off one of the most notable results in the last round of the Canadian Open, knocking out sixth seed Flavio Cobolli in straight sets following success in consecutive tie-breakers. Meanwhile Nuno Borges got the better of 26th seed Tomas Etcheverry, also in two sets and with just six games dropped.
This particular contest is expected to be a lot closer. Hanfmann is capable of taking this match deep and grinding it out, whilst Borges has been excellent on his serve, although converting break points has been an issue.
