Yannick Hanfmann vs Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard prediction
Yannick Hanfmann notched up his 100th tour-level win at the Halle Open as he produced a dominant display to beat Roland Garros quarter-finalist Joao Fonseca, before a loss to world number three Alexander Zverev. He then competed in Mallorca, losing in the round-of-16 to Luciano Darderi. That was his fifth defeat to the Italian this season. Hanfmann is still yet to win a match at Wimbledon.
He will face Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard. The big serving Frenchman qualified for Queen’s Club but then lost in the first-round to compatriot Corentin Moutet. He fared better in Stuttgart, winning his first two matches to reach a third tour-level quarter-final of the campaign, before a loss in straight sets to Alexander Bublik.
Mpetshi Perricard will always be competitive with that strong first serve of his, but Hanfmann has the more varied game and should have enough quality to win points when the rallies are extended.
