Xinyu Wang vs Emiliana Arango prediction

Most recently active in the Prague Open towards the end of July, Xinyu Wang reached the semi-finals of that event as the fourth seed and enters the Cincinnati main draw for the second time in her career after exiting in the first round 12 months ago.

The highlight of the world number 38’s year to date is undoubtedly her run to the final of the Berlin Open in June, during which she defeated Coco Gauff along the way.

Up against the Chinese star is Colombian ace Emiliana Arango, who is making her debut at the Lindner Family Tennis Center.

It’s been a breakthrough year so far for Arango, who made her Grand Slam debut at the French Open, reaching the second round, before a first-round exit on her first Wimbledon appearance.

Still finding her feet on the circuit, Arango pushed former Grand Slam finalist Eugenie Bouchard close in Montreal last week and should provide Wang with some testing moments, but we fancy the higher-ranked player to progress in straight sets.
