Wigan Warriors vs Toulouse prediction
Wigan Warriors are in their best form of the season having won their last nine Super League matches and that does not make good reading for a struggling Toulouse team who make the trip to the north of England. The Warriors are pushing hard now to get the top two spot as a minimum, if not win the league leaders’ shield, and they will be relentless in their pursuit of that.
That said, they will also know that they do not necessarily have to go out all out to win this match so there may be an element of preserving some energy as the game goes on and they undoubtedly build a big lead.
Toulouse have nothing to lose but that was the case last week against Leeds Rhinos and the defensive side of their game was abysmal. They are lacking in so many areas right and energy and confidence seems incredibly low. It is hard to make any case for them, especially on the road after a tough match last week.
Against a rampant Wigan side, they will struggle to trouble them and we would far prefer to be on the hosts than the visitors, even on the spread. Expect Wigan’s youngsters to keep playing hard late on even if the likes of Jai Field and Bevan French ease off the gas, and they can cover this handicap.
