A frequent winner now on both the European Tour and Players Championship circuit, it is surely only a matter of time before Wessel Nijman translates that form to the big stage, but he is yet to really deliver on his promise in the major tournaments.
The Dutchman actually missed a match dart to defeat Rob Cross in the first round here last year, so revenge will be on his mind with that being a particularly painful defeat.
