There is plenty of buzz around Wessel Nijman at the moment, with the 26-year-old Dutchman taking the European Tour and Players Championship events by storm in 2026.
Nijman has won two events in the former and six in the latter to propel him up to 14 in the PDC rankings, and the next step in his career will be to translate that form to the TV stage.
Dave Chisnall, meanwhile, has shown glimpses of form lately but it's been a long time since he had a deep run at a major. Indeed, not since 2018 has Chizzy gone beyond the second round in Blackpool.
The 45-year-old just barely made the qualification cut-off for Winter Gardens, and there is little reason to back him here against one of the form players on tour.
