Warrington Wolves vs Leigh Leopards prediction

One of the more intriguing matches at Magic Weekend sees the Leigh Leopards take on the Warrington Wolves in what is arguably one of the more evenly-matched encounters of the weekend.

Leigh have shown signs of clicking into gear in recent weeks as they know that they need to find some consistency if they are to finish in the top six this season. They come off an impressive 40-16 victory in France against Toulouse and have now won four of their last five matches.

The club have moved to bring in Lazarus Vaalepu from the NRL this week and Adrian Lam suggested that it would not be the end of their recruitment which suggests they are going all out to push for the play-offs between now and the end of the season.

They meet a Warrington side who have also raised their level in recent weeks in an attempt to push on for a top two spot. Bar a humbling 34-6 loss to leaders Leeds, Sam Burgess’ men have won five of their last six and are finding some strong form in recent weeks.

Warrington have won both encounters to far this season but those matches were at a time when Leigh were not firing. Both teams are now and that is what makes this game so fascinating.

We lean towards Leigh to get the win but this is one to be cautious with. We like the points in this one and expect a high-scoring and entertaining affair.

Warrington Wolves vs Leigh Leopards tip: Over 46.5 total points
