There were positive signs for Wang Xinyu last season, as she went from relative obscurity all the way to the final of the German Open during the summer, along with further semi-finals in Singapore, Prague and Cleveland. She is currently ranked 57 in the world, having achieved a high of 32 back in October 2023.
Caty McNally did not enjoy a particularly inspiring 2025, with her best WTA result being a quarter-final in Guangzhou.
