Wakefield Trinity vs York Knights prediction
Wakefield Trinity had been suffering through a mini-slump with consecutive defeats to Leeds Rhinos and Warrington Wolves but managed to get back to winning ways last Saturday in a resounding way, crushing St. Helens offensively and ultimately winning 16-46. The manner of such a victory will have been most pleasing to Daryl Powell and after Leigh Leopards were beaten in Huddersfield, Wakefield has the opportunity to win their next two and all but cement fourth-place before they travel to Leigh on the final round.
York Knights’ season is done and their defence feels like they already have one eye on the off-season based on recent performances. Three straight losses and 118 points conceded prior to this game adds weight to that theory and when considering how potent Wakefield’s attacking play was last weekend, it does not bode well for York. Expect an early home lead and a comfortable win.
