Wakefield Trinity vs Castleford Tigers prediction

Wakefield come into Magic Weekend as one of the form teams in the Super League having won five of their last season matches. The run of matches has largely been kind against lower teams, but they did beat Hull KR in one of those matches and their only loss came at the hands of the Wigan Warriors.

They are firmly in position for a top six finish and nothing will motivate them more than consolidating that with a win over their arch-rivals Castleford.

The Tigers have had issues with consistency all season and the loss to the struggling York Knights last week was symptomatic of that.

It is hard to make a case for Cas in any match against the top teams and while they will be motivated to do well, they fall well short in quality compared to their West Yorkshire rivals.

Expect a comfortable win for Wakey and it could be an emphatic one at that.

Wakefield Trinity vs Castleford Tigers tip: Double result – Wakefield / Wakefield
