Vit Kopriva vs Sebastian Korda prediction

Vit Kopriva secured a fine win in round one of the Winston-Salem Open as he came from a set and a break down to defeat Sebastian Ofner. The Czech’s hopes of advancing were fading quickly as Ofner took a 6-3 2-0 lead, but Kopriva responded brilliantly by reeling off four straight games in the second and getting a key break in the third to win 3-6 6-4 6-3. 

He now goes up against Sebastian Korda. Korda makes his return from injury here after suffering from a stress fracture in his right shin. The American has not competed since his third-round defeat to compatriot Frances Tiafoe at Roland Garros in late May. He does have some respectable results on hard courts this season, having made the final in Adelaide at the start of the season and getting through to the Miami Open quarter-finals.

Korda leads the head-to-head 1-0, having beaten Kopriva in five sets in the first-round of the Australian Open last year. He may be lacking match fitness and could be vulnerable in the early stages, but he will be expected to come through and win.
