Vit Kopriva vs Jordan Thompson prediction

Vit Kopriva competed in just one event prior to Wimbledon and couldn’t make it out of qualifying for Mallorca as he lost to Ethan Quinn in three sets. Kopriva is comfortably in the top 100 of the world rankings for the first time after a fine run at the Italian Open while he also won his first Grand Slam match at Roland Garros last month.

Jordan Thompson’s continuing struggles with injuries have derailed his grass court preparations up to now. He did compete at the Libema Open but, after beating Aleksander Kovacevic in the first-round, lost out to Gabriel Diallo at the next stage of the competition with the Canadian going on to win the event. He then competed at Queen’s but withdrew midway through his match with Jaume Munar.

Despite his problems with his foot, Thompson is a very strong operator on grass, having won two grass court titles and reached the semi-finals of Queen’s last year. As long as he is fit to perform, the Australian is the overwhelming favourite to win against Kopriva.
