Viktoriya Tomova vs Ons Jabeur prediction
Viktoriya Tomova is one of those players who doesn't appear to excel on any one surface, but who can play on all of them to a solid standard. Although most of her success on the ITF Circuit has come on clay and hard courts, she did reach the semi-finals of last year's Bad Homburg Open on grass.
The Bulgarian competed in Rosmalen, Berlin and Eastbourne in preparation for Wimbledon, so she is not short of match practise on the surface.
Former world number two Ons Jabeur is no stranger to Wimbledon having twice been a runner-up at SW19 (2022 and 2023). The Tunisian has had her injury problems in recent years but has been pain free for a number of months now and will fancy her chances of deep run on a surface that suits her.
Tomova will be a stubborn opponent and won't make it easy, but Jabeur should have the tools to ultimately dismantle her.
