Viktorija Golubic vs Peyton Stearns prediction

Viktorija Golubic advanced to the second-round of the China Open after a comfortable victory over Elvina Kalieva. The Swiss player broke on six separate occasions, winning 6-3 6-1 after one hour and 28 minutes. Golubic created 15 break point opportunities in total. Her best WTA result of the season was a semi-final run at the Nottingham Open, and this was her first match since an opening round loss at the US Open last month.

She will face Peyton Stearns next. Stearns is seeded for this event and received a bye in round one. The American won four matches in a row at the Guadalajara Open last time out, advancing to her second tour-level final of the campaign. However, a second title alluded her as she was beaten comfortably by Iva Jovic, with the teenager defending her title.
