Viktorija Golubic arrives in buoyant mood having just lifted a Challenger title in Suzhou.

The Swiss will be the favourite in ranking and in terms of match rhythm against former US champion Bianca Andreescu.

There’s no doubt the Canadian world number 170 has the game to win here, but she has again struggled with fitness and has managed one victory from three matches since returning from a two-month absence. 

Golubic is ranked at 60 and will be seen as the favourite, particularly given her recent title in similar conditions.

That said, Andreescu will start firing again soon if she stays fit, so it is a tough call as to how this one plays out on paper.
