Rising teen Victoria Mboko will get to test herself against one of the sport’s elite stars when she meets Olympic champion Qinwen Zheng in the third round.

The 18-year-old has been catching the eye on tour and is making even bigger waves in her maiden Grand Slam appearance. 

Indeed, the world number 120 has now won five matches in a row in Paris without dropping a set, having come through qualifying. 

Zheng is hardly a veteran at the age of 22 but will hope her greater experience will pay dividends in a match-up many are excited to see. 

The Chinese eighth seed will be well aware of the danger the Canadian will pose and the underdog did win a set when she lost to Coco Gauff in Rome recently. 

Zheng won’t underestimate the teenager but she is such a heavy favourite that a bet on her to win in straight sets or for Mboko to take it the distance may well be better value.
