Veronika Kudermetova vs Olga Danilovic prediction

Veronika Kudermetova had to show great fight in her first-round match against Cristina Bucsa to come from a set down and win out in three sets. That was her first match since Wimbledon and she will have been pleased to get a win under her belt at a tournament where she has typically struggled.

That was just her second win in the tournament as it was 2021 when she last won a match at the Canadian Open.

Reaching the third round for the first time will not be easy however as she meets 29th-seed Olga Danilovic on Tuesday.

Danilovic is Serbia’s number one and she is making her debut in the main draw in this tournament. The left-hander has enjoyed a good year so far but she is far more suited to clay than the hard courts.

That leaves her a little vulnerable here to the upset especially against an experienced pro like Kudermetova. We can see the Russian causing her issues and potentially catching her cold so she gets our nod over the seeded player in this one.
