Veronika Kudermetova vs Amanda Anisimova prediction

Amanda Anisimova’s rejuvenation in 2025 looks set to continue on clay.

The American’s triumph in Doha back in February propelled the 23-year-old back into the top 20 and a recent run to the last four in Charleston means she’s firmly acclimatised to the dirt too.

The 15th seed faces a tricky opener in Rome, however, with former world number nine Veronika Kudermetova looking very assured in her 7-5 6-2 triumph over Italian wildcard Lucrezia Stefanini in the first round. 

Anisimova trails 2-1 in the head-to-head, but that victory did come in straight sets in the aforementioned run in Charleston this year.
