Valentin Vacherot enjoyed a thoroughly comprehensive victory against Jan-Lennard Struff in his first round match, not even offering up a break point on his way to thrashing the German 6-2 6-1. A win of that nature should give Vacherot some confidence, having lost in qualifying at a Challenger event in Girona and not making it past the first round at the Bucharest Open.
