Valentin Vacherot vs Alex Michelsen prediction
Valentin Vacherot achieved his best ever Grand Slam performance last month as the Monegasque managed to reach the third round of the Australian Open, with victories against Martin Damm and Rinky Hijikata before a loss to Ben Shelton in straight sets at the Margaret Court Arena.
Alex Michelsen comes into this one on the back of reaching the round of 16 of the ATPN 500 Dallas Open last week, suffering a straight sets loss to the 2025 Delray Beach Open runner-up Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. He lost in five sets to number 15 seed against Karen Khachanov in the first round of the Australian Open.
Michelsesn began this year well at the Brisbane International and he is playing some good tennis but Vacherot, who won his first career title with the ATP 1000 Shanghai Masters as recently as October, has to be seen as favourites.
