Valentin Royer vs Cameron Norrie prediction

Valentin Royer did well to qualify for the Paris Masters and was halfway towards a significant first-round win against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, but the Spaniard fought back to win a hard-fought match. The Frenchman also qualified in Vienna and got through to the second-round. Royer has been on an upwards trajectory in recent months, having got through to his first final on the ATP Tour in Hangzhou six weeks ago. He is now at his highest ranking of 59 in the world.

Cameron Norrie enters the main draw in Metz, hoping to go one better this time around after losing in the final to Benjamin Bonzi last year. The Briton comes into this event on the back of his greatest ever win in Paris as he came from a set down to beat world number one Carlos Alcaraz. However, his run would go no further as he lost in round three to Valentin Vacherot.

It’s been a return to form for Norrie this season and he will start this match as the favourite, but Royer will not make it an easy first-round encounter, and the Brit will need to be switched on from the start.
