Ugo Humbert vs Mattia Bellucci prediction
Ugo Humbert produced a strong showing at Queen’s Club, winning three matches in a row to reach the semi-finals. He dramatically saved four points against Hamad Medjedovic in a match which spanned two days, before returning to thrash Rinky Hijikata in the quarter-finals. However, he was unable to progress to the final after a straight sets loss to Tommy Paul. He has four wins from six matches on grass this season.
He now competes in Eastbourne and takes on Mattia Bellucci in the first-round. Bellucci qualified for the Halle Open and then pulled off a shock in round one as he defeated defending champion Alexander Bublik. He looked on course for the quarter-finals as he took the first set against Raphael Collignon, but would go on to lose in three.
Humbert is the firm favourite to get through to the next round, although Bellucci possesses the weapons to make this a competitive encounter.
