Ugo Humbert produced a strong showing at Queen’s Club, winning three matches in a row to reach the semi-finals. He dramatically saved four points against Hamad Medjedovic in a match which spanned two days, before returning to thrash Rinky Hijikata in the quarter-finals. However, he was unable to progress to the final after a straight sets loss to Tommy Paul. He has four wins from six matches on grass this season.
He now competes in Eastbourne and takes on Mattia Bellucci in the first-round. Bellucci qualified for the Halle Open and then pulled off a shock in round one as he defeated defending champion Alexander Bublik.
