Ugo Humbert competed at the Libema Open last week, winning his opening match against Elias Ymer but then falling to a defeat against compatriot Benjamin Bonzi. Humbert’s best result of the season was his run to the final of the Adelaide International right at the start of the year. He has failed to win a match at this event, having lost in the first-round on two occasions in 2023 and 2024.
He faces 2012 and 2018 champion Marin Cilic in round one. The veteran began his grass court season with a quarter-final appearance at the Libema Open. Cilic had come from a set down to beat Denis Shapovalov and Nuno Borges, but he then lost in three sets to former world number one Daniil Medvedev.
