Tristan Schoolkate is making his second appearance in the Australian Open singles main draw after having done so last year, making the second round. He’ll be hoping to maintain his 100% first round record in the singles competition but Corentin Moutet will pose tough opposition when considering his pedigree.

The French number two hasn’t been eliminated in the first round of this singles tournament since 2020 and his creativity on the hard court will be very hard for Schoolkate to deal with, as Moutet is the sort of opponent he won’t have faced before, particularly in a match of such magnitude. But the home crowd will play their part and provide Schoolkate with a big boost that can’t be underestimated.
