Tristan Schoolkate vs Adam Walton prediction
Tristan Schoolkate did not have the most productive of Asian swings as he was only able to qualify for one ATP tournament out of three events on offer, losing in round one of the Shanghai Masters to Daniel Altmaier. He decided to drop down and compete on the Challenger Tour in Jinan but also lost in the first-round. The Australian did make the quarter-finals of Los Cabos, his best ATP result, while he has also reached three Challenger finals this year, winning two of them.
Schoolkate is ranked 96 in the world, with his opponent Adam Walton 20 places higher in the rankings. Walton’s results were incredibly similar in Asia, as he lost in round one of Shanghai and Hangzhou, while also failing to make it out of qualifying in Beijing. He did win his first-round match in Jinan but fell at the next hurdle. His best result of the season on the ATP Tour was also at the Los Cabos Open, with Walton going a step further and making the last four.
This will be their first ATP match against each other but they have played on seven previous occasions at qualifying or Challenger level. Schoolkate leads the head-to-head 4-3 and has won their last three meetings, which includes Miami Open qualifying this year. This is likely to be a close match with little to separate the pair.
