Tommy Paul vs Miomir Kecmanovic prediction
Tommy Paul defeated Jenson Brooksby in the first round of the Dallas Open for the second year running. It was another close three set match, with Paul recovering from a set down and clinching victory in the deciding tiebreak. He won 4-6 6-4 7-6 (4). It was a strong serving performance from the former world number eight, as he won 85% of his first serve points and only conceded two break points. Paul got through to the round-of-16 at the Australian Open and also advanced to the semi-finals of the Adelaide International last month.
He now faces Miomir Kecmanovic. The Serb got his first win of the season after beating Sho Shimabukuro in three sets. He had lost his first four matches in 2026 and looked on course for another defeat as Shimabukuro took the first set. The next two sets were competitive, but Kecmanovic would pull through to win 6-7 (3) 6-3 7-6 (3).
Kecmanovic leads the head-to-head 3-2 but Paul has won two of their last three meetings over the course of the last three years. His all-court game should be too strong for Kecmanovic, who is still lacking confidence.
Tommy Paul vs Miomir Kecmanovic tip: Tommy Paul to win 2-0
